Taiwan: Day 4 Shengxing Railway Station 胜兴车站

After our visit to Lavender Cottage, uncle used a mountain range route to drive us to Sanyi (三义). This is because it was a Saturday and according to tourists uncle met in the Lavender Cottage, Sanyi town center is super jam at that moment.
Oh well, we managed to enjoy different scenery instead of cars jamming on the road (which we had more than enough in Kuala Lumpur). And because we couldn't enter the town, we have to skip one stop, which is the wood craft street.

See?? This is not a tourist spot. It is a piece of land with flowers on our way to Shengxing Train Staion. Driver uncle told us that farmers use these flowers as organic nutrient for the land. But they are so pretty, aren't they?

Spotted some sunflowers too! <3
Ah!! I want to write a quote:
"Sometimes, we just need to stop and observe the beautiful things by our side. You may missed them out as they are so small and look so unimportant to you. Please love them, because they beautify your life." ~~RouRou

Me and the beautiful flowers. Love them =)

We had lunch at a random organic market along the way. Ermm... Nothing fancy, so I'm not gonna introduce it here. Another reason is, I've forgotten the name. XD

After about 1 hour drive, we've reached Shengxing Railway Station.

Look at the jam!! Many locals came to enjoy Tung Flowers (桐花) here.

Shengxing Railway Station was the highest railway station on the Western Taiwan Railway Line (Old Mountain Railway) at 402,236 meters above sea level. It was completed in 1906, built entirely of wood in Japanese style WITHOUT A SINGLE NAIL on each beam. The train station was built according to feng shui with canine tooth style on the eaves. The railway was first used to carry only freight such as coal, fruit and groceries, but later on, it was used for public transportation. Then, due to route change from the old trunkline: Jiushan Line to the New Jiushan Line, Shengxing Railway Station was closed on September 23, 1998. (information from Travel King)

The railway.

Epic fail model. What expression is that huh?

The girls and the railway. Fuh!

There's a bridge by the side, which link to another part (which I didn't explore).
The bridge itself is very unique.

Better pose but still not ideal. Haihhhhhhhhh...... XP

Look at the crowd! And there's lots of couple taking wedding-kinda-photo there. So nice!

Railway made of wood!

Group photo at the Railway Station. All of us in white, except Su Su.

Poser pose XD

There's a tunnel and we really wonder where it leads to.
After contemplating outside the tunnel for 5 minutes, we decided to explore.

Inside the tunnel, there's nothing. And we heard from other tourist, it leads to another end, with nothing. It is quite long and hence we gave up halfway. It was so dark and we had to on our phone's torch light. Similar darkness as Gua Niah.

Timetable of olden days. Still kept quite well.

Us in front of the station. I have to upload this as this is the only group photo of us with the station. Lip Lip, can you open your eyes?? Wake up!!!

Ah look! This is a tap! Our driver uncle helping a lady to "on" the tap. So ancient.
