Taiwan: Day 3 Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall 中正纪念堂

After our late lunch (Beef Noodle Shop and Dessert near Dongmen MRT station), we decided to go Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall (中正纪念堂), which is a few stops away. This is where tourists must come, a significant tourist spot in Taipei.

The first building we saw after we walked out from the MRT Station.
Note: This is not the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. This is the National Theater Hall.

Walking towards the front gate. There's a garden by the side.

Inside the garden, there's some students practicing band there.

And hey! The front gate of the area.

The CKS Memorial Hall from far. Wow... Grand, right!

Me with the National Concert Hall and the Falun Dafa parade.

Another photo of the front gate. Wah... Looks like some photo in google. XD

Group Selfie time! JM was busy taking photo that time. =P
I really think Lip is a very professional selfie photographer. XD

Yeah! JM is back!! We are complete!

The Falun Dafa (法轮大法) Parade

Guess what I'm trying to pointing!

Flowers and the girls. =)

Close up of the Memorial Hall.
There are 2 sets of white stairs, each with 89 steps to represent CKS's age at the time of his death (information from Wikipedia)

View from the top of the Memorial Hall. SO BEAUTIFUL!!!

Me with the bronze CKS statue.

Me with the real soldier "statue".
They can't move and there's people to help them wipe their sweats off. Quite pitiful.

End this post with me and the beautiful background. =)

Unfortunately, while we were thinking to take a jump shot in front of the memorial hall, it rained! Heavy rain suddenly started and we ran towards the National Theater Hall. Waited for 20 minutes for the rain to become smaller. Was so worried that time as I've made reservation for Hello Kitty Sweets Cafe at 5.30pm. Well, we made it on time for the cafe. So yeah, next post is about our visit to Hello Kitty Sweets Cafe. I'm so excited!!!!!!!!! =D
