Taiwan: Day 6 Hehuanshan 合欢山 and Lushui Trail 绿水步道

Day 6~ Oh~ Time flies~ I'm more than halfway through my Taiwan Trip after 3 weeks of writing.

Coming posts will be more on scenery -- heaps of them! Enjoy!! =)

Early morning of Day 6, we had our breakfast in Margaret Minsu and left Cingjing around 8.30am.

Me with the beautiful building of the minsu.

Spotted some nice flowers in the garden of the Minsu

Blur face. Last photo before we left Cingjing area. =D

On the way to Hehuanshan. Look at the fog -- covered up all the nice view.

Ah well, when you are traveling, you have to take photos at every nice spot (even though the fog spoilt the view).

I like this photo a lot! Look like being photoshop-ed. Surrounded by mountains -- amazing!

After 1 hour of drive (roughly), we've reached Hehuanshan (合欢山)
Hehuanshan is a 3416 metres (11,207 ft) high mountain in Central Taiwan (台中). Hehuanshan is actually within the Taroko Gorge National Park (太鲁阁国家公园), which the peak lies on the boudaries of Nantou and Hualien countries. One special thing about Hehuanshan is -- it is the only place to see snow in Taiwan during winter months (VERY COMMON). ~~~Information from Wikipedia

It is less than 10 degree celsius up there! And look at us shivering with our shorts!
Wrong attire. XD Other tourists had their thick winter coat on and stared at us!

Yes, we are at the highest point, accessible by public roads, of Hehuanshan --- Wuling (武陵)

3275 meters! Wow! It was windy and cold, even it was already end of April.

After shivering at Wuling for 10-15 minutes, we quickly ran up the van to warm ourselves up. Then, we stopped at few scenery stops before we reach another tourist spot in Taroko Gorge National Park.

On the way, we spotted some rare mountain Rhododendron (山上杜鹃花).
They are light pink -- so pretty!

Close up!

YOLO Jumpshot! In the middle of a one way road!

Group photo with the Rhododendron at the back.

This photo has a gloomy feel. Don't you think so?

Another spot where we stopped on the way. Photo time again!
We just kept on stopping by for about 5 minutes and took photos all the way. Hop-on Hop-off.

After a while, we reached the part of the mountain where we can watch could sea (云海).

Tried to take photo with the clouds but failed due to poor lighting.

This is beautiful, isn't it? *stop breathing for a while*

*Continue to stop breathing*

Can you imagine how beautiful this is -- to see with your own eyes, capture with your own lens.

Me and my beloved Su Su.
Can you believe that we made it to Taiwan, like finally??

Next stop: Lushui Trail 绿水步道

We just took part of the trail, not the complete trail. But that 20 minutes walk can really allow you to enjoy the scenery of Taroko Gorge. Why I saw so? Look at the photos below!

The Trail -- not a very tiring trail, good for people like me with bad stamina.

There's a short canopy walk.

And a dark hole! You need to walk through it to get nice view. Not very scary, believe me.

Ta-Daa!!! The beautiful view is here!

Look at the nice and clear water!

This is part of the trail. See? Short, but adventurous trail.

And now, time for some jungle feel.

And we found Taroko Oak.

Of course, I have to take a photo with Taroko Oak at Taroko National Park.

The background is so nice!!!
You will never find this in the city.

Last photo at Lushui Trail.

Next post, there will be more stunning photos at Taroko National Park. Stay tuned!
