Taiwan: Day 3 McD Breakfast & National Palace Museum

Before we check out from Fun Taipei Backpackers, we decided to visit National Palace Museum in the morning.  Thanks to all-time-photoboom and me, who had "orchestra" at night, JM could not sleep well. Hence, JM told us that she needs to sleep and decided not to follow us to the museum. Felt a bit bad.

Well, we moved on!
I bought a cuppa of latte from 7-eleven and we had our breakfast in McDonald's (麦当当). Why McDonald's?? We want to try the pork burger! Ordered Pork Sausage McMuffin (猪肉满福堡) and it tasted like normal Sausage McMuffin in Malaysia, with a little bit of piggy smell. =P

Chinese words on the packaging - Welcome to Taiwan!

My Sausage McMuffin! See? It just look as normal as those in Malaysia.

City Cafe. You can get this coffee in any 7-eleven and it is of good quality.
I won't say it is super nice, but it definitely worth the money. NTD 55 for a large cup of latte, which is cheap! Quality is as good as some famous cafes in Malaysia.

After enjoying our breakfast, we walked to Jiantan MRT station to get a bus to National Palace Museum. It was around 8.30am in the morning. Yeah, we are a bunch of energetic backpackers. It was about a 15-20 minutes bus to the museum. Once we stepped out of the bus, we were like "WOW!". The building is really huge and beautiful. =O

There are plenty of tourists when we reached. That was a Saturday and hence crowds are unavoidable. We have to wait for people to pass by, in order to take photos with less photobooms around.

Su Su and I. I really miss this girl. ='(

Grand right! This is the entrance towards the main building.

My tourist photo. It is pretty shiny that morning. Shades are helpful to cover up small eyes.

Grand-er view when you walk inside.
Maybe I haven't been to China so this is the most grand building I've ever seen. Feels like a princess when I walked towards the building (too much drama~LOL)

Group photo, with unavoidable photobooms.
There are more people flooding in while we take this photo. So yeah, this is the best that we can take.

Selfie! Yeah.. Photobooms can be avoided this way! =D

Love the sky in this photo. <3  And look and the grand staircase!!

A glance from the main building, a garden at the side.

Inside the building. Look so new, so grand.

Inside the museum, we are not allowed to bring bag and camera. Thus no photo to share. Entrance fee is around NTD160, with NTD100 to rent an audio tour. Inside, there are plenty of nice arts. If you want to enjoy and understand about the palace museum, pick a weekday, and spend a day here. We spent about 1-2 hours here and we did not understand much stuff here. Audio tour is a bit wasted as we don't have time to finish all.
There are 2 star items in Palace Museum, Level 3. But we did not managed to look at those nicely as there are heaps of people. HEAPS!! We were squeezed while queuing and decided to leave after 30 minutes of struggles.

Before we leave, take more photos of the building first.

I love my RED outfit on that day. SO BRIGHT! SUITS ME!!
(There's hidden meaning but I will not explain here. XD)

My advice for people who want to travel to Taiwan: If you like arts and history, please pay a visit here. If not, you can save money and just take photos of the building from outside. MUST VISIT THE PALACE MUSEUM ONCE, even just for a photo.
