Taiwan: Day 6 Qingshui Cliff 清水断崖 and Jiaoxi Town 礁溪

BACK TO TAIWAN TRAVEL POST!!

In my previous post, I was talking about some tourist spots in Taroko Gorge National Park (太鲁阁国家公园). And now, I'll continue with our last stop in Taroko, which is Qingshui Cliff (清水断崖).

Qingshui Cliff (清水断崖) is a 21 km lenght of coastal cliffs averaging 800 meters above sea level. This cliff is located at the southern part of the Suhua Highway (苏花公路) that connects the counties of Yilan (宜兰) and Hualien (花莲). It is considered to be a very scenic area and is the highest coastal cliff in Taiwan. ~~ Information from Wikipedia

**Just to add-on, Suhua Highway is very famous with its scenic view and uncle driver recommended us to enjoy the view and not skipping it by taking train or bus. Really appreciate his suggestion and our decision to believe him. The scenery is absolutely stunning.

After Taroko Gorge National Park (太鲁阁国家公园), we took Suhua Highway (苏花公路) to Yilan (宜兰). It took us 2-3 hours to reach Yilan, by the time we reached, it was already dinner time. We stayed in a Hot Spring Hotel at Jiaoxi (礁溪), Yilan (宜兰). Jiaoxi (礁溪) is a small town, famous with hot springs and hence we are on our own after we checked in. 

Before exploring the town, we need to fill our stomach with food first! Due to different interest, we decided to split into 2 groups and had dinner at different restaurants. For me, I'm with the group for Oyster Fried Egg (蚵仔煎) and Braised Meat Rice (卤肉饭). So 4 of us went into this restaurant (as shown in the photo below).

The Braised Meat Rice -- tasted OK, but too oily!Look at the fats! >.<

Prawn Fried Egg (虾仁煎) -- Too Q (chewy) and too little eggs. But they put generous amount of prawns! Same goes to their oyster fried egg. Quite disappointing =(

After dinner, we explored a more happening street and went into local biscuits shop to grab some souvenirs. There is really nothing much to do in Jiaoxi town at night. So, after buying and walking around, we decided to go back to our hotel and rest. 

The room! Very comfy right! And we have personal hot spring tub.
Too bad we were lazy and only Jiemin went to enjoy the hot spring. XD
