Itinerary: Krabi-Bangkok 8 days 7 nights Trip

Just got back from 8D7N Thailand trip with tanned skin and empty purse! Before I forget, let me type out the itinerary for this trip. This trip covers Krabi -- a province with beautiful islands and Bangkok -- a happening, capital city of Thailand.

Kuala Lumpur --> Krabi --> Bangkok --> Kuala Lumpur

Day 1: Kuala Lumpur --> Krabi --> Krabi Night Market

We arrived at Krabi airport around 2pm local time. Booked a taxi to our hotel -- Ibis Style Ao Nang with 600 baht (to be shared by 4 persons). We also booked tours for the next 2 days at the airport. After checking in, we went out to explore Ao Nang and also to hunt for some food.

View from our hotel room's balcony. Beautiful view.

Street view of Ao Nang

Bought my first coconut ice cream from a random food stall by the road.
It is the best and cheapest among all that I've tried throughout the trip.

Went to an indian/thai shop for some green curry with chicken.

And pineapple fried rice.

Booked a night market tour at hotel lobby for 200 baht per person.
I love this night market! There are plenty of food and craft stalls.

Barbeque stall.

Nutella Banana Pancake

Grilled Red Snapper & Curry Noodle

Centre part of the krabi night market, where there is a dining spot and a performance stage.
Totally enjoyed this weekend market's food and environment.

Day 2: Hot Spring --> Blue Pool --> Emerald Pool --> Tiger Cave Temple --> Elephant Trekking
I booked this tour at the airport for 900baht, which include a buffet lunch. I think it is quite worthy as the view of blue & emerald pool is really amazing!
Enjoying the hot spring with no smelly sulphur. Love this place so much! But too bad the weather is so hot! I sweated so much.

The beautiful but dangerous blue pool

Such a beautiful pool. I can never forget the beauty of this place.

Emerald pool where people can swim. But it was 12noon and we decided not to swim in there. Not gonna take the risk of getting sun burn.

After lunch, we went to Tiger Cave Temple - the temple with 1237 stairs to climb.

The stairs is too challenging for me. Too steep!
Hence, I waited for my friends at the rest area in front of guan yin pagoda with a cup of iced milk tea. XD

After that, the tour ended with elephant trekking and baby elephant show. I did not sit on the elephant because I've read too much about not going on elephant trekking. Then, the baby elephant show was a nightmare for me as the baby elephant came to be "friend" with me (attacked me with its trunk). Oh god! I would tell you what happen in details soon!

At night, we went to hilltop for dinner. A restaurant with awesome service and fantastic view. Price isn't too expensive. A place worth coming to visit.

Day 3: Phi Phi Islands Tour

We were picked up by the tour from the hotel to Aonang beach.
The tour started with a short briefing by the guide and proceeded with 45 minutes boat ride to phi phi islands.

Sun bath for hours. But the water is really nice! Clear greenish water. Love it so much!
More photos will be uploaded in day-by-day posts. Stay tuned!

After the phi phi island tour, we went back to the hotel for a swim and then washed up for dinner! Before dinner, we enjoyed sunset at Aonang Beach. It was really beautiful.

Day 4: Nopparat Thara Beach --> Fly to Bangkok --> Asiatique

Explored nopparat thara beach before flying to bangkok. This is a peaceful beach with soft sands. I enjoyed my morning walk here.

Took a domestic flight from Krabi to Bangkok and reached there around 6pm. Took more than an hour to reach hotel as the traffic in Bangkok is really bad. Worse than KL! OMG....

Explored Asiatique as our first stop in Bangkok. Had dinner there and ride on the ferris wheel.

Before heading back to the hotel, we also went to the night market in front of palladium mall and had some mango sticky rice. I'll never forget the juicy mango. *slurps*

Day 5: Damnoen Saduak Floating Market --> Grand Palace --> Central World

We rented a car for a day (2500baht/car) from the hotel to get us to floating market and also grand palace. Very satisfied with the price as getting there by taxi will cost even more and will take us 2 mornings. With this, we had one full day for damnoen saduak floating market and grand palace. We could explored chinatown too but we were too wet and tired under the hot sun. So we chose to go back to the hotel to clean up.

Great experience at floating market where we ordered food on the boat and being served quickly from another boat. However, the price is very expensive, as expected. Just for an experience, you may order one dish to try how to pay and get your food from them. Then, enjoy your food on the boat ride.

Grand Palace has very strict rules for attire. Look how I have to wrap up myself with rented clothes.

Just simply walk around the area as it was too hot. I look like a typical aunty tourist with such attire. XD

At night, I get to try After You dessert shop at Central World after dinner. Love it!!

Day 6: Breakfast at famous chicken rice shop --> Shopping @ Platinum Mall --> Sirocco Bar

Randomly found this chicken rice shop opposite platinum mall. It serves really good chicken rice with only 40 baht. Also bought a cup of coffee from a random coffee stall beside the chicken rice shop. 30 baht for a cup of iced coffee. Cafe standard! *thumbs up*

Then, we spent 7 hours shopping in Platinum Mall and got ourselves a lot of clothes!
Satisfying shopping!

Tried Carbonara pie (left) and chocolate pie (right) from McDonald's after 7 hours of shopping.

Had subway for dinner -- chicken slice and ham with red wine vinegar. Combination that I can't get in Malaysia. Why Subway? Because we are quite broke after shopping. XD

After dinner, we went back to hotel to rest for a while before heading to Sirocco Bar for great night view of Bangkok city.

Great view! But too bad we can't get to enjoy the view over here for long. Strong wind and we were seated at the other side of the bar!

We got a table under the dome. Well, overall experience was quite nice. Service was awesome.

After getting back from the bar, we had foot massage session at 12.30am-1.30am. Such a comfortable session before sleep!

Day 7: Siam Square --> Pratunam Market/Platinum Mall --> Chinatown

Walked from our hotel to Siam Square area. Explored Siam Paragon, MBK, Siam Square One, etc..... Spotted my favourite Hello Kitty House too! Too bad we are all too broke for dessert in such expensive cafe. I will come back for you next time kitty!

Still wanna take a photo with kitty before leaving XD

Then, we went back to do last round shopping at pratunam market and platinum mall before going out for dinner at Chinatown.

Had a great seafood dinner at Chinatown with cheap price. Will share about the food soon!

Another foot massage session before we had our last night beer session in the room. Last night in Bangkok already! Awww....

Day 8: Chatuchak Weekend Market --> Back to Kuala Lumpur

Rushed to chatuchak weekend market to explore before flying back to homeland. This place is huge and our allocated time isn't enough. Just in time to simply explored and grabbed breakfast here. Need to come back here again. So many things to see and buy and eat.

Last coconut ice cream for my thailand trip. Worst. But it is good for photo. =P

Spent a total of RM3000 for this trip due to extensive shopping. Will do a breakdown soon.

    1. Hi Fiffy! Phi phi island trip was thb1000, which includes lunch. it covers seven spots but only allow us to go down for 4 spots -- bamboo island, maya bay, phi phi don and also a spot to snorkel. National park fee is THB400. I think there are tour with only THB900. Mine is slightly expensive as I booked from airport. Hope it helps!

  4. Krabi to Bangkok 8 days 7 nights Trip is really nice idea, but koh lanta is the best for trip, if you want to enjoy the sea gypsy, underwater caves and make your day with mouth-watering seafood you may like to contact ferry shuttle provider “Andaman Ferry Service”. Their services are just fantastic.
